ガツガツ落とせるところは思い切って落とせるように、部分部分での最適な彫り方を見つけたいと思います。

Carve carefully where it is easy to break,

carve boldly where it is not,

I would like to find the best carving method for each part.

外丸の研ぎが難しく、慣れるまで時間がかかりそうです。

Whetting the “Sotomaru” is difficult, so it will take time to get used to it.

木目を上手く読むのが難しく、

削る方向や角度を変えながら

逆目が起きない削り方を慎重に探っています。

最終加工がしやすいように、

刃物をよく研いでなるべく完成形まで持っていきたいです。
